Neuromechanics

Neuromechanics is an emerging field that combines neurophysiology and biomechanics to study human movement by examining both the mechanical aspects of movement and the neural processes that control it.
Recent advances in wearable sensor technology have enabled researchers to collect both types of data simultaneously in natural environments, creating new research opportunities and practical applications. However, this progress also brings challenges in integrating different technologies and analyzing the resulting large, complex datasets.
The field emphasizes understanding the interconnected relationship between the brain and body during movement, rather than studying them separately.
